The Perfect Solution for the Family over the Easter Break!

Our Easter retreat will be held at Grimstone Manor, a magnificent Georgian manor house set in 27 acres of gardens, pasture and woodland on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.  We will have this warm, spacious 18th century house entirely at our disposal.  The facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, landscaped gardens, and delicious organic vegetarian food (fish and chicken options available). 
 

The holiday offers a delightful balance between structured activities and free time in this idyllic setting.  As well as separate yoga classes for beginners and intermediate students, we offer kids yoga classes and family yoga classes, all in a beautiful yoga hall.  We will also have plenty of time for enjoying the surroundings: swimming in our private pool, relaxing in the jacuzzi,  walking on the moors, and playing in the landscaped gardens.  There will be variety of activites on offer on different days for kids and parents alike, inlcuding drumming & singing workshops, a cream tea, an easter egg hunt, and a guided walk across the Moors to see the wild ponies.  Massage is also available on request.

 
What to bring

You will need to bring:

   A yoga mat (available from Nisha £15.  We will supply blocks)
   Soft soled shoes or slippers for inside the house
   Walking shoes and wet weather clothes if you intend to walk
   Swimming gear if you intend to swim
   Towels for swimming, shampoo & toothpaste etc

Prices

Prices include all accomodation and (mainly organic) food, yoga classes, children's activities & swimming.

Not included: travel to and from the venue, sauna (the sauna is operated by a coin machine), your own travel insurance.

How to Get to Grimstone Manor

Grimstone Manor is situated near Tavistock, 11 miles north of Plymouth in Devon. 

By Car

Take the M5 to Exeter. At the end of the M5, take one of these two alternative routes:

EITHER: Follow the A30 sign-posted Okehampton. Follow the A 30 until you come to signs for the A386 to Tavistock. Follow the A386 through Tavistock, from where it is sign posted Plymouth. About four miles after Tavistock, you come to Horrabridge. Take the first left into Graybridge Road. (This route is usually the quickest).

OR:  Follow the A38 to Plymouth. Follow signs for Liskeard, then take the A 386 sign posted to Tavistock. Follow this road for 11 miles, as far as Horrabridge, just beyond Yelverton. Shortly after the Horrabridge sign and the garage, turn right into Graybridge Road (sign posted to Village Centre). (This route is sometimes slow, depending on rush hour traffic coming out of Plymouth);

AND THEN AT THE END OF EACH OF THE ABOVE ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Drive down the hill, over the bridge, and bear right, past the Post Office, and on up Jordan Lane. After half a mile you will see the lodge house and a sign for Grimstone on your left. Turn here, and follow signs for the car park.

By Train/ Coach

Coach and rail services operate on a frequent basis to Plymouth. Once in Plymouth, Taxifast (dial 222 222 from the Plymouth airport or train station) has a fixed price of £10.00 from the airport, £13.00 from the railway station and £13.50 from the bus station to Grimstone, but to take advantage of this arrangement, you must mention it to the driver before they start their meter running. Other taxis are marginally more expensive. There are always plenty of taxis at the railway station.
