About UsNisha.jpg

Nisha Toppin

Nisha has practiced Yoga for 18 years, and has studied a number of different traditions, including Hatha, Iyengar and Astanga Yoga.  She has trained with Viniyoga Britian, and is a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and a YogaBugs Teacher Trainer.

Nisha’s  teaching is influenced by the teachings of Krishnamacharya and his principal students.  Yoga is about bringing freedom and ease to the body, and she encourages her students to work deeply in the body by connecting with the breath, and connecting breath with movement.  Her teaching is rooted in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali – where yoga is defined as the containment of the fluctuations of the mind, and asana is practiced as part of an eight-limbed path.  Nisha teaches both strong, vinyasa classes and gentle, meditative classes, depending on the students.

Nisha lives and works in North London, where she teaches in yoga centres, at gyms, in schools and privately.  She teaches asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation workshops.  She runs yoga retreats and holidays internationally – see Yoga With Nisha for more details.

Nisha did her first Yoga as a toddler with her mother, and began to seriously study Yoga as a teenager.  Knowing how an early experience of Yoga can positively change the course of one’s life, she has a passion to take yoga into schools to teach children and teenagers.  Nisha teaches yoga to children of all ages in a creative, playful style.  She also runs family yoga workshops for parents and their children, promoting  positive and healthy interaction within families.

Additionally, Nisha trains adults to teach Yoga to children – see Yogabugs for more information

Bryony King

Bryony officially started her yoga career five years ago when she jumped ship from the film and television industry in Australia, leaving it for the more grounded world of yoga. She was introduced to yoga by a friend eight years ago as a way to briefly check out from her then hectic world into a space that provided stillness and serenity. What began as an extra-curricular therapy slowly became her passion as she was drawn to a more spiritual way of life.

Bryony has trained in India, studying with Louisa Sear in Astanga, Iyengar Yoga and meditation and prior to that in LA under Bikram Chourdhury. She has recently come back from the Baron Baptiste Head quarters in Boston where she practiced dynamic flow.

She has also trained with YogaBugs London, which realised her teaching of children. Bryony has recently started facilitating the training of new teachers through the YogaBugs company and continues to find inspiration through working with children. The classes offer a particular joy and creativity which differ from those made up of adults.

Bryony currently teaches both children and adults in London. The diversity of working with both continues to inspire and motivate her in many ways and is a reminder of the magic of yoga and the joy and health it brings to people of all ages.

Filling her classes with warmth and creativity Bryony draws on her experience to teach the gift of yoga.
